How do I qualify for a Northcash loan?

To qualify for a Northcash Loan you require:

  • Be employed, with a regular source of income; paid on bi-weekly basis, semi-monthly or monthly basis
  • You must earn at least $1,100 per month.
  • You must also have a checking or savings account that been active for at least ninety (90) days in order to receive the cash you wish to borrow**.
  • Have a valid email address and phone number
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Not be a member of any branch of the military

How much money can I receive from Northcash?

As a first time borrower you may be qualified to receive up to $500 from Northcash. The minimum loan amount is $100 and loan amounts are offered in $50 increments.

How is a short-term loan different from other types of loans?

Short-term loans (also referred to as fast cash or payday advances) are a means for consumers to get fast access to small amounts of cash. The loan amount is typically less than a standard loan and there is a faster approval process to receive your money. There is typically no credit check required**.

How long does the process take?

Our online loan application process is fast and easy. Most people complete the entire process in ten minutes or less.

May I still request a loan over the weekend?

Yes. Northcash’s online loan application is available 7 days a week. Loan applications submitted after Fridays 8:00 p.m. (EST) and on weekends will be processed on the following business day, and you will receive your funds by the end of day on Tuesday.

How do I cancel a loan request?

If by accident you applied for a loan you did not intend, or received funds mistakenly, please contact us before 7:30 p.m. (EST) or as soon as possible at 1-855-333-6570.

When and how do I receive my approval?

Once you have submitted your application, you will be notified if your application has been pre-approved within a few seconds. If the connection is lost or you did not receive a decision message, please contact Customer Care at 1-855-333-6570 or send an email to customercare@northcash.com.

When and how do I receive my cash?

The money is deposited directly into the bank account you designate when you sign up for your loan. Payment is usually received within 24 hours, although times may vary depending on your banking requirements. If you need the money sooner, you may be able to use our wire transfer service to receive the money the same day for a $15 fee. How do I repay my Northcash loan?

Once you receive your Northcash loan, you can have your payments automatically withdrawn from your checking/savings account on each pay day or you can mail in your payments to North Star Finance, LLC, Po box 498 Hays, MT 59527 by your due date. Money order or cashier’s checks may take up to 10 business days to be received and processed.

When is payment due on the loan?

Your payment is due on your next pay day. If you need to make any changes or the funds will not be available, please contacts Customer Care at 1.855.333.6570, or e-mail at customercare@northcash.com, extensions are available.

I do not have enough money to pay you back, what are my options?

If you do not have enough money and cannot pay back your loan on the designated date, Northcash offers a one-time extension until your next pay date. Please contact us for more information at 1-855-333-6570.

What is my minimum loan term?

Northcash fees are based on a minimum 14-day loan term regardless of early payoff. Please check our loan interest rate chart for additional information.

What is the interest rate on the loan?

The APR (interest rate) applied to your loan varies depending on the pay period set for the loan. A standard 14-day loan will have an APR of approximately 782.14%. This may seem high, but it’s important to note Northcash loans are not intended to be used as a long-term financial solution or to supplement limited income. These short-term loans can offer an effective short-term fix if you are short on cash and need money to cover something such as an emergency expense until you receive your next paycheck.

How are finance fees calculated?

A finance fee of $30 is incurred for every $100 borrowed.

Why do you need to contact my employer?

Northcash is a responsible lender. Contacting your employer, allows us to confirm that you are gainfully employed. As well it protects you and us from fraudulent activities.

Why do you need my bank account information?

We need your bank account information to be able to give you your loan. When you are approved for a Northcash loan, we wire your money to you. It will usually arrive in your bank account in as little as 24 hours.

How do I know if my bank is ACH-Accessible?

ACH refers to "automatic clearing house". A bank that that supports automatic deposits and electronic payments is typically ACH-accessible.

If you aren't sure if your institution supports ACH transactions, please contact your financial institution directly to confirm.

What’s your renewal policy?

Northcash allows you to renew you loan for up to 4 pay dates. That means that you will only have to pay the finance charge and your loan principal will be carried over. On the 5th renewal onwards, you must make payment towards your principal, in addition to the finance fee. The minimum payment towards your principal is $10.00.

When I pay off my Northcash loan, how soon can I borrow another?

You'll be eligible for a new loan as soon as your payment clears - which could take your bank up to five business days to confirm. Additionally as returning borrower, you'll enjoy an even simpler loan process when you login as a returning customer.

Do I need to fax any documents?

From time to time, Northcash may require you to send us copies of your most recent bank statement (covering 30 days of transactions) or most recent pay stub. If you are a previous customer, with some exceptions, we will use your previous statement for 90 days. You may also scan and e-mail these documents to us as an alternative to fax.

I am in the military. Can I get a loan from Northcash?

Northcash does not provide loans to military personnel.

How do I update my Northcash online account information?

What happens if I can't remember my account login information?

For returning customers, your login is the last 4 digits of your social security number and your e-mail address. Login as a returning customer.
